The United States produced 1.20 times as much as Brazil: 12,289,768 tonnes against 10,237,584, while China ranks third with 7,790,900 tonnes, 2,446,684 tonnes behind Brazil. The top two hold 29.3 percent of the listed total, with third and fourth at 7,790,900 and 4,565,000 tonnes respectively.

The United States was the largest beef and buffalo meat producer in the 2024 listed data with 12,289,768 tonnes, followed by Brazil with 10,237,584 tonnes and China with 7,790,900 tonnes. India ranked fourth with 4,565,000 tonnes.

Brazil added 1,275,161 tonnes (up 14.2 percent) and Australia 354,931 tonnes (up 15.9 percent), while China added 264,100 tonnes (up 3.5 percent).

Brazil added 2,412,696 tonnes (up 30.8 percent) and China 1,066,400 tonnes (up 15.9 percent), while India added 805,000 tonnes (up 21.4 percent).
