Methodology
Percentage changes use the corresponding value in the earlier year as the base. Yearly totals sum FAO Crops and Livestock Products stocks quantity (Element 5112) for item Geese, 2020-2024. For geese stocks, quantities are shown as whole head. The 2024 geese stocks ranking and shares use 2024 listed quantities. In the geese stocks data, zero means a reported nil or negligible stock; an empty cell means no quantity was reported. For geese stocks changes, only countries with quantities in both endpoint years enter the arithmetic. Stocks record the standing flock, not a production flow.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why did eleven reporters leave the 2024 window?
Eleven countries reporting in 2023, led by Romania with 550,000 head and Germany with 415,000 head, did not report in 2024. Blank cells mean not reported rather than zero, so the group sits outside the 2023-2024 change universe while shaping the 2023 listed total.
Which 2020 reporters are gone by 2024?
Eighteen, led by Poland with 5,619,000 head, Romania with 334,000 head and Germany with 324,000 head. Blank cells mean not reported rather than zero, so the group sits outside the 2020-2024 change universe while shaping the 2020 listed total.
How did Hungary move in both windows?
Hungary fell 1,589,000 head (down 71.7 percent) in 2024 and 1,196,000 head (down 65.6 percent) since 2020. Hungary reports in all three endpoint years, so both falls sit inside their change universes.
