Methodology
Percentage changes use the corresponding value in the earlier year as the base. Yearly totals sum FAO Crops and Livestock Products production quantity (Element 5510) for item Oil of linseed, 2019-2023. For oil of linseed production, quantities below 1,000 tonnes retain two decimals and larger quantities are shown as whole tonnes. The 2023 oil of linseed production ranking and shares use 2023 listed quantities. In the oil of linseed production data, zero means a reported nil or negligible flow; an empty cell means no quantity was reported. For oil of linseed production changes, only countries with quantities in both endpoint years enter the arithmetic. Production quantities are reported to FAO by national statistical sources.
Frequently Asked Questions
How did Türkiye move in 2023?
Türkiye rose from 4,800 tonnes in 2022 to 11,800 tonnes in 2023, a change of 7,000 tonnes (up 145.8 percent from a small base). Türkiye reports in both years, so the rise sits inside the change universe.
Where did Norway go in 2023?
Norway reported 324.26 tonnes in 2022 and nothing in 2023. Blank cells mean not reported rather than zero, so Norway sits outside the 2022-2023 change universe while shaping the 2022 listed total.
Why did Kazakhstan fall by nearly three quarters since 2019?
Kazakhstan fell from 29,115 tonnes in 2019 to 7,592 tonnes in 2023, a change of -21,523 tonnes (down 73.9 percent). Kazakhstan reports in both years, so the fall sits inside the change universe.
