Apricots Dried Consumption by Country

Türkiye reported 27,116 tonnes of dried apricot food supply in 2023, 16.0 percent of the listed total. Kazakhstan came second at 21,719 tonnes and the United States third at 17,005. Per person, Kazakhstan led. Türkiye added 8,654 tonnes in the latest year, while Kyrgyzstan tripled, adding 4,111. All figures describe food available for human consumption, not actual intake.

Türkiye led, 1.25 times Kazakhstan. The United States sat third at 17,005 tonnes, ahead of China at 11,232 and Russia at 7,366. The top three held 38.9 percent of the 169,194-tonne total, and the top five 49.9 percent. Kyrgyzstan, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and India closed the top ten between 5,063 and 6,709 tonnes. Of all 170 countries in the file, 166 carried a 2023 value.

Türkiye Adds Most, Kyrgyzstan Triples

Across the 166 countries in both 2022 and 2023, supply grew 1.3 percent, from 167,105 tonnes, a gain of 2,089. Türkiye added 8,654 tonnes, up 46.9 percent, exceeding the net rise alone. Uzbekistan shed 5,600 tonnes, down 54.4 percent. Russia shed 4,612 tonnes, down 38.5 percent. Kyrgyzstan added 4,111 tonnes, nearly tripling from 2,598. China added 3,881 tonnes, up 52.8 percent. Kazakhstan added 2,438 tonnes, while the United States shed 2,424 tonnes and Pakistan 2,235 tonnes.

Türkiye Drives the Five-Year Increase

Among the 158 countries in both 2019 and 2023, supply grew 16.7 percent, from 144,856 tonnes, a gain of 24,255. Türkiye added 24,629 tonnes from 2,487, more than the net rise. Kazakhstan added 17,673 tonnes from 4,046, rising more than fivefold. Iraq shed 6,897 tonnes, down 83.7 percent from 8,245. Kyrgyzstan added 6,709 tonnes from zero. Russia shed 5,845 tonnes, down 44.2 percent. Egypt shed 2,803 tonnes, down 83.0 percent. Ukraine shed 2,638 tonnes, down 43.5 percent. China added 5,214 tonnes, up 86.6 percent from 6,018. Three countries left over the period, against eight arrivals.

Kazakhstan Leads Per Person

Kazakhstan's 2.93 grams a day topped the per-person table, ahead of Kyrgyzstan at 2.60 and Türkiye at 0.85. Israel followed at 0.55 grams and New Zealand at 0.45. Azerbaijan sat at 0.41 grams. The United States, third by volume, sat at 0.14 grams per person.

For apricots, dried, tonnage follows element 5141 and daily grams follow element 665 across 2019 to 2023. A change is measured from the earlier year; none is stated from a zero base.
