Key Finding
Egypt dominated the 2023 mango pulp supply data with 496,779 tonnes, equal to 80.1 percent of the annual listed consumption total. It also ranked first in food supply per person at 11.88 grams per person per day, ahead of Taiwan at 6.23 grams.
South Africa placed fourth at 12,131 tonnes, with Qatar fifth at 502 and the Bahamas sixth at 237. Myanmar, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana and Ghana closed the file between zero and 233 tonnes. The top three held 97.9 percent of the annual listed consumption total, and the top five 99.9 percent. Egypt added 20,799 tonnes between 2022 and 2023, rising 4.4 percent to 496,779 tonnes. Taiwan added 7,870 tonnes, up 17.4 percent. India added 483 tonnes, up 0.9 percent. Trinidad and Tobago added 13 tonnes, up 6.8 percent. South Africa lost 3,138 tonnes, down 20.6 percent. Myanmar shed 155 tonnes, down 40.0 percent. Qatar gave up 125 tonnes, down 19.9 percent. The Bahamas lost 116 tonnes, down 32.9 percent. The 11 countries present in both years rose from 594,610 tonnes to 620,241 tonnes, up 25,630 tonnes, or 4.3 percent, with no entries or exits. Between 2019 and 2023, the 9 countries present in both years climbed from 462,778 tonnes to 620,241 tonnes, up 157,463 tonnes, or 34.0 percent. Egypt added 179,097 tonnes, up 56.4 percent, accounting for 113.7 percent of the net gain. The Bahamas added 237 tonnes from a zero base. Trinidad and Tobago added 161 tonnes, up 385.1 percent from a tiny base. Taiwan lost 11,107 tonnes, down 17.3 percent. India lost 6,936 tonnes, down 10.8 percent. Jordan went from 2,200 tonnes to a reported zero. South Africa shed 1,251 tonnes, down 9.3 percent, and Qatar 482 tonnes, down 49.0 percent. One country left with nothing, against two arrivals with nothing. Egypt's 11.88 grams a day nearly doubled Taiwan's 6.23 in second. The Bahamas sat third at 1.63 grams, with South Africa at 0.53 and Qatar at 0.46. Trinidad and Tobago followed at 0.37 grams, with India at 0.11 and Myanmar at 0.01. Ghana and Guyana show zero. Egypt leads both the tonnage and the per-person ranking. Mango pulp for human consumption is logged in tonnes and daily grams per person for each reporting country across 2019-2023. Twelve countries make this a very small table, where Egypt alone decides every headline. Four-fifths of supply sits in one country. The per-person order mirrors the tonnage order at the top, then scatters. Jordan's zero follows 2,200 tonnes in 2019, a minor exit far outside contention. The Bahamas' 237 tonnes come from a zero base with no percentage stated. Trinidad and Tobago's 385.1 percent rate divides by a base of 42 tonnes. FAO Supply Utilization Accounts assign tonnage for human consumption to element 5141 and daily grams per person to element 665, shown for mango pulp over 2019-2023. Percentages divide by the earlier year, and zero bases divide nothing. The dataset contains 12 reporting countries after aggregates are removed; 11 have a reported 2023 value, including reported zeros. Only countries with values at both endpoints enter comparisons. The 2023 listed total is the sum of every country with a 2023 value. A reported zero is kept, a blank is missing, and under-1,000 values keep two decimals.

How much of the 2023 mango pulp supply came from Egypt?
Most of it: Egypt alone held 80.1 percent of the annual listed consumption total, and the top three together reached 97.9 percent of reported supply overall.
How much did Egypt add lately?
Egypt alone added 20,799 tonnes, up by 4.4 percent in the latest year, a full four-fifths of the net latest gain in the file overall.
Is this what people actually ate?
No. The figures measure food available for human consumption, not the amount actually eaten. They describe supply in the reference year rather than the amounts people consumed.
How much did Egypt add over five years?
Egypt alone added 179,097 tonnes, up by 56.4 percent, accounting for 113.7 percent of the net five-year 157,463-tonne gain recorded between 2019 and 2023 overall.
