Methodology

Percentage changes use the corresponding value in the earlier year as the base. Yearly totals sum FAO Crops and Livestock Products production quantity (Element 5510) for item Meat of ducks; fresh or chilled, 2020-2024. For fresh or chilled duck meat production, quantities below 1,000 tonnes retain two decimals and larger quantities are shown as whole tonnes. The 2024 fresh or chilled duck meat production ranking and shares use 2024 listed quantities. In the fresh or chilled duck meat production data, zero means a reported nil or negligible flow; an empty cell means no quantity was reported. For fresh or chilled duck meat production changes, only countries with quantities in both endpoint years enter the arithmetic. Production quantities are reported to FAO by national statistical sources.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much of the long-window gain runs through China?

China added 1,187,500 tonnes (up 24.9 percent) against a common-universe gain of 1,183,640 tonnes, accounting for 100.3 percent of the increase. Hungary added a further 12,930 tonnes (up 20.4 percent).

Was Austria reported in 2024?

Austria reported 662 tonnes in 2020 and 1,148 tonnes in 2023, but has no reported 2024 quantity. Austria is excluded from both change calculations because it has no reported 2024 quantity. Its reported values remain part of the corresponding yearly listed totals.

How did France move in 2024?

France rose from 136,500 tonnes in 2023 to 187,810 tonnes in 2024, a change of 51,310 tonnes (up 37.6 percent). France reports in both years, so the rise sits inside the change universe.
