Methodology

Percentage changes use the corresponding value in the earlier year as the base. Yearly totals sum FAO Crops and Livestock Products production quantity (Element 5510) for item Meat of turkeys; fresh or chilled, 2020-2024. For fresh or chilled turkey meat production, quantities below 1,000 tonnes retain two decimals and larger quantities are shown as whole tonnes. The 2024 fresh or chilled turkey meat production ranking and shares use 2024 listed quantities. In the fresh or chilled turkey meat production data, zero means a reported nil or negligible flow; an empty cell means no quantity was reported. For fresh or chilled turkey meat production changes, only countries with quantities in both endpoint years enter the arithmetic. Production quantities are reported to FAO by national statistical sources.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which 2020 reporters are gone by 2024?

Three, led by Austria with 16,421 tonnes, plus Estonia and the Netherlands with reported zeros. Blank cells mean not reported rather than zero for Austria, while the zeros mean reported nil flows; the trio sits outside the 2020-2024 change universe.

Who are the new reporters since 2020?

Four, led by Peru with 36,544 tonnes, Venezuela with 2,008 tonnes and Serbia with 86 tonnes, plus Latvia with a reported zero. Blank cells mean not reported rather than zero, so the group sits outside the 2020-2024 change universe.

How did Brazil move against the trend in 2024?

Brazil rose from 133,290 tonnes in 2023 to 150,717 tonnes in 2024, a change of 17,427 tonnes (up 13.1 percent). Brazil reports in both years, so the gain sits inside the change universe while the total fell 2.7 percent.
