Rhenium production by country measures how much rhenium each country produces, expressed in kilograms. The figures follow the definitions used in the underlying sources. The statistics are based on USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026. The table below lists 7 countries with 2024 and 2025 data available for all of them. The United States figures are withheld to avoid disclosing company proprietary data, and Russia's output is reported as not available (NA) in the source and is therefore not listed.
Chile produced the most rhenium in 2025 with 30,000 kilograms. China ranked second with 20,000, followed by Poland (10,000), Uzbekistan (7,000), South Korea (3,000), Kazakhstan (1,000), and Armenia (200). Among the 7 countries with available 2025 data, Chile accounted for about 42 percent of the reported production values, and Chile and China together accounted for about 70 percent. Only Chile and China produced more than 10,000 kilograms in 2025. In South America, Chile (30,000 kilograms) is the dominant producer. In Asia, China (20,000) is the largest producer, ahead of South Korea (3,000), Kazakhstan (1,000), and Armenia (200). In Europe, Poland (10,000) is the largest listed producer. In Central Asia, Uzbekistan (7,000) is a major producer. Chile recorded the largest increase, rising from 29,000 kilograms in 2024 to 30,000 in 2025 (up 1,000). Poland rose from 9,400 to 10,000 (up 600). Kazakhstan recorded the largest relative decline, falling from 1,500 to 1,000 (down 500, minus 33 percent), and Uzbekistan fell from 7,400 to 7,000 (down 400). China, South Korea, and Armenia held 20,000, 3,000, and 200 kilograms in both years, unchanged. Among the seven countries, total reported production rose from 70,500 kilograms in 2024 to 71,200 in 2025, a small annual increase.
