Whole Milk; Evaporated Production by Country
Peru stayed the largest evaporated whole milk producer while losing 37,370 tonnes and Saudi Arabia added 151,022 tonnes since 2019. The figures below reproduce FAO Crops and Livestock Products records for item Whole milk; evaporated, 2019-2023, reporting production quantity in tonnes. The table lists 61 countries; 60 reported a 2023 quantity, and the 2023 annual listed total is 2,871,165 tonnes. The 2023 country list runs from the largest listed quantity to the smallest.
Peru produced 1.32 times as much as Germany: 514,264 tonnes against 389,686, while the Netherlands ranks third with 371,460 tonnes, 18,226 tonnes behind Germany. The top two hold 31.5 percent of the listed total, with third and fourth at 371,460 and 210,641 tonnes respectively. Peru was the largest evaporated whole milk producer in the 2023 listed data with 514,264 tonnes, followed by Germany with 389,686 tonnes and the Netherlands with 371,460 tonnes. The United States ranked fourth with 210,641 tonnes. Peru holds 17.9 percent of the listed 2023 total. The top three together hold 44.4 percent of the 2,871,165-tonne listed total. The common reporter universe (60 countries with data in both years) slipped from 2,905,413 tonnes to 2,871,165 tonnes between 2022 and 2023, a change of -34,248 tonnes (-1.2 percent). The totals listed for each year were 3,047,413 tonnes (61 reporters) and 2,871,165 tonnes (60 reporters); 1 country reporting in 2022 (142,000 tonnes, Singapore) did not report in 2023, while no new reporters joined. Peru fell 37,370 tonnes (down 6.8 percent), while Saudi Arabia added 28,655 tonnes (up 17.5 percent) and the United States fell 13,940 tonnes (down 6.2 percent). From 2019 to 2023 the common reporter universe (60 countries with data in both years) moved from 2,617,573 tonnes to 2,871,165 tonnes, a change of 253,592 tonnes (9.7 percent). The totals listed for each year were 2,759,573 tonnes (61 reporters) and 2,871,165 tonnes (60 reporters); 1 reporter present in 2019 (142,000 tonnes, Singapore) is absent in 2023, while no new reporters joined. Saudi Arabia added 151,022 tonnes (up 361.8 percent), while China added 25,956 tonnes (up 30.1 percent) and the United States 21,392 tonnes (up 11.3 percent). Percentage changes use the corresponding value in the earlier year as the base. Yearly totals sum FAO Crops and Livestock Products production quantity (Element 5510) for item Whole milk; evaporated, 2019-2023. For evaporated whole milk production, quantities below 1,000 tonnes retain two decimals and larger quantities are shown as whole tonnes. The 2023 evaporated whole milk production ranking and shares use 2023 listed quantities. In the evaporated whole milk production data, zero means a reported nil or negligible flow; an empty cell means no quantity was reported. For evaporated whole milk production changes, only countries with quantities in both endpoint years enter the arithmetic. Production quantities are reported to FAO by national statistical sources.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where did Singapore go in 2023?
Singapore reported 142,000 tonnes in both 2019 and 2022, but no 2023 quantity is listed. Blank cells mean not reported rather than zero, so Singapore sits outside both change universes while shaping the listed totals.
How did Saudi Arabia more than quadruple since 2019?
Saudi Arabia rose from 41,737 tonnes in 2019 to 192,759 tonnes in 2023, a change of 151,022 tonnes (up 361.8 percent). Saudi Arabia reports in both years, so the rise sits inside the change universe.
How much did Iran's production change in 2023?
Iran's listed production fell from 13,403 tonnes in 2022 to 1,146 tonnes in 2023, a decrease of 12,257 tonnes (down 91.4 percent). Iran has reported quantities in both years, so the change is included in the common-reporter calculation.
