The statistics combine an Our World in Data series for 2020-2023, built from the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries and the BGS World Mineral Statistics, with 2024 and 2025 estimates taken directly from the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026. The table below lists 9 countries that record beryllium production in the period. 2025 figures are available individually for 7 countries, which produced a combined 432 tonnes in 2025, slightly above the World total of 430 tonnes reported in the source. Uganda keeps its earlier Our World in Data series (1 tonne in 2024).

The United States produced the most beryllium in 2025 with 230 tonnes. Brazil ranked second with 80, followed by China (77), Nigeria (40), Mozambique (3), Madagascar (1), and Rwanda (1).

Beryllium Production Around the World
In North America, the United States (230) is the dominant producer. In South America, Brazil (80) is the only listed producer. In Asia, China (77) is the largest producer. In Africa, Nigeria (40) leads, ahead of Mozambique (3), Madagascar (1), Rwanda (1), and Uganda (1 tonne, 2024).
Largest Changes in Beryllium Production, 2024-2025
China recorded the only decline, falling from 78 tonnes in 2024 to 77 in 2025 (down 1). Among countries with 2025 estimates, all other listed countries held their levels: the United States (230), Brazil (80), Nigeria (40), Mozambique (3), Madagascar (1), and Rwanda (1).
The World total fell from 433 to 430 tonnes (down 3, about 0.7 percent). The 2024 figures in this release are revised from earlier values, most notably Mozambique (revised down from 24 to 3 tonnes), the United States (up from 180 to 230), China (up from 77 to 78), and Nigeria (up from 1 to 40).

The 2020-2023 figures come from Our World in Data, which compiles national beryllium production figures from the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries, the USGS Historical Statistics for Mineral and Material Commodities, and the BGS World Mineral Statistics, with major processing by Our World in Data; USGS data is prioritized, with BGS data used to supplement it. The 2024 and 2025 figures are estimates from the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026 where available; Uganda keeps its earlier Our World in Data series. Values refer to mine production of beryllium content, in tonnes, and 2025 figures are preliminary estimates from the source. The sum of individually reported country estimates may differ from the reported World total because country-level estimates and the World total are subject to source-level rounding and adjustments. In the table, a zero reflects no production, while an empty cell means that no value was reported.
