Cream; Fresh Production by Country
New Zealand stayed the eighth-largest fresh cream producer while adding 17,300 tonnes and Saudi Arabia added 15,215 tonnes. The figures below reproduce FAO Crops and Livestock Products records for item Cream; fresh, 2019-2023, reporting production quantity in tonnes. The table lists 68 countries, all of which reported a 2023 quantity, and the 2023 annual listed total is 3,716,653 tonnes. The 2023 country list runs from the largest listed quantity to the smallest.
Germany produced 1.11 times as much as France: 521,450 tonnes against 470,060, while Italy ranks third with 285,800 tonnes, 184,260 tonnes behind France. The top two hold 26.7 percent of the listed total, with third and fourth at 285,800 and 274,690 tonnes respectively.

Methodology
Percentage changes use the corresponding value in the earlier year as the base. Yearly totals sum FAO Crops and Livestock Products production quantity (Element 5510) for item Cream; fresh, 2019-2023. For fresh cream production, quantities below 1,000 tonnes retain two decimals and larger quantities are shown as whole tonnes. The 2023 fresh cream production ranking and shares use 2023 listed quantities. In the fresh cream production data, zero means a reported nil or negligible flow; an empty cell means no quantity was reported. For fresh cream production changes, only countries with quantities in both endpoint years enter the arithmetic. Production quantities are reported to FAO by national statistical sources.
Frequently Asked Questions
What were New Zealand's production gains over the two comparison periods?
New Zealand added 17,300 tonnes (up 11.2 percent) in 2023 and 46,300 tonnes (up 36.7 percent) since 2019. New Zealand reports in all three endpoint years, so both gains sit inside their change universes while larger reporters moved less.
Who are the new reporters since 2019?
Two: Nicaragua with 489.03 tonnes and Malta with a reported zero, both in 2023. Blank cells mean not reported rather than zero for Nicaragua, while Malta's zero means a reported nil flow; the pair sits outside the 2019-2023 change universe.
Why did Germany fall since 2019?
Germany fell from 554,400 tonnes in 2019 to 521,450 tonnes in 2023, a change of -32,950 tonnes (down 5.9 percent). Germany reports in both years, so the fall sits inside the change universe.
