Methodology

Percentage changes use the corresponding value in the earlier year as the base. Yearly totals sum FAO Crops and Livestock Products stocks quantity (Element 5112) for item Ducks, 2020-2024. For ducks stocks, quantities are shown as whole head. The 2024 ducks stocks ranking and shares use 2024 listed quantities. In the ducks stocks data, zero means a reported nil or negligible stock; an empty cell means no quantity was reported. For ducks stocks changes, only countries with quantities in both endpoint years enter the arithmetic. Stocks record the standing flock, not a production flow.

Frequently Asked Questions

How concentrated is this table?

China holds 65.5 percent of the 1,268,007,000-head listed 2024 total with a 9.41 times lead over Vietnam. The top two hold 72.4 percent while Bangladesh trails Vietnam by 19,924,000 head.

Which countries no longer had reported duck stocks in 2024?

Ten countries reporting in 2023, led by Germany with 1,593,000 head, Romania with 1,511,000 head and Portugal with 747,000 head, did not report in 2024. Blank cells mean not reported rather than zero, so the group sits outside the 2023-2024 change universe while shaping the 2023 listed total.

How did Indonesia move in both windows?

Indonesia added 10,113,000 head (up 30.2 percent) in 2024 but fell 13,020,000 head (down 23.0 percent) since 2020. Indonesia reports in all three endpoint years, so both moves sit inside their change universes.
