Feldspar production by country measures how much feldspar each country mines, expressed in tonnes. The figures refer to mine production of feldspar, in line with the underlying sources. The statistics combine an Our World in Data series for 2020-2023, built from the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries and the BGS World Mineral Statistics, with 2024 and 2025 estimates taken directly from the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026. The table below lists 17 countries that record feldspar production in the period. 2025 figures are available individually for 13 countries, which produced a combined 27,700,000 tonnes in 2025; together with the "Other countries" value of 3,400,000 tonnes, this totals 31,100,000 tonnes, slightly above the reported World total of 31,000,000 tonnes because of source-level rounding and adjustments. Most other countries retain their latest available Our World in Data figures.

Feldspar Production Around the World

In Asia, India (6,000,000) leads, ahead of China (3,700,000) and Thailand (1,900,000). South Korea (1,000,000) follows; Iran (3,900,000) and Saudi Arabia (650,000) are in the Middle East.

In Europe, Türkiye (5,300,000) is the largest producer, ahead of Italy (2,200,000). Russia (650,000) and Spain (620,000) follow; Czechia (450,000, 2022) and Poland (405,000, 2020) carry older figures.

In Africa, Morocco (720,000) is the largest producer. In the Americas, Brazil (620,000) and the United States (440,000) are the listed producers; Mexico (495,000, 2022) has an older figure.

Largest Changes in Feldspar Production, 2024-2025

Türkiye recorded the largest increase, rising from 5,274,000 tonnes in 2024 to 5,300,000 in 2025 (up 26,000, about 0.5 percent). South Korea rose from 990,000 to 1,000,000 (up 10,000), crossing the 1 million tonne mark.

The United States recorded the only decline, falling from 450,000 to 440,000 tonnes (down 10,000). All other listed producers, including India (6,000,000), Iran (3,900,000), China (3,700,000), Italy (2,200,000), Thailand (1,900,000), Morocco (720,000), and Russia (650,000), held their levels.

The World total fell from 31,100,000 to 31,000,000 tonnes (down 100,000, about 0.3 percent), while production was remarkably stable: only three countries changed at all. The source's value for countries not listed individually stayed at 3,400,000 tonnes.

The 2024 figures in this release are revised from earlier values, most notably Türkiye (revised down from 9,500,000 to 5,274,000 tonnes), China (up from 2,500,000 to 3,700,000), Iran (up from 3,100,000 to 3,900,000), Spain (down from 990,000 to 620,000), and Brazil (up from 420,000 to 620,000).

The 2020-2023 figures come from Our World in Data, which compiles national feldspar production figures from the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries, the USGS Historical Statistics for Mineral and Material Commodities, and the BGS World Mineral Statistics, with major processing by Our World in Data; USGS data is prioritized, with BGS data used to supplement it. The 2024 and 2025 figures are estimates from the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026 where available; countries not reported individually keep their latest Our World in Data figures. Values refer to mine production of feldspar, in tonnes, and 2025 figures are preliminary estimates from the source. The source reports production in thousand-ton units for 2024-2025; values here are expressed in tonnes. The sum of individually reported country estimates may differ from the reported World total because country-level estimates and the World total are subject to source-level rounding and adjustments. In the table, a zero reflects no production, while an empty cell means that no value was reported.
