Feldspar Reserves by Country
The country that led the feldspar table in 2020 no longer appears in it. The figures span eight USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries editions from 2019 through 2026. The ranking spans 10 countries (7 with reported 2025 values) and 2,295,000 thousand metric tons in listed 2025 reserves.
China (730,000 thousand metric tons) and Türkiye (720,000) sit just 10,000 apart at the top — the narrowest gap between first and second place in the series. India (320,000) is less than half of either, with South Korea (200,000) and Brazil (150,000) further behind. The top two outweigh the other five combined: 1,450,000 against 845,000. Egypt reported 1,000,000 thousand metric tons from 2018 through 2020, then nothing from 2021 onward. No current holder reaches that earlier figure: China, today's leader, tops out at 730,000. Poland (16,000 in 2018) disappeared even earlier. For 2023, China leapt from 130,000 to 730,000 thousand metric tons — more than a fivefold rise — while Türkiye tripled from 240,000 to 720,000. Iran moved the opposite way in the same year, collapsing from 630,000 to 95,000, about an 85% drop. The entire top of the ranking was redrawn within twelve months, and none of the three figures has moved since. All seven reported 2025 values match their 2024 figures. India and Brazil have remained at 320,000 and 150,000 throughout the 2018–2025 series, and South Korea has held 200,000 since 2024. The Czech Republic reported 54,000 in 2023 but has no value in the two subsequent editions. Figures come from the USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2019-2026, with 2025 values estimated. Units are thousand metric tons of feldspar and nepheline syenite, exactly as reported. Empty means the source reported no value; 0 means the source reports zero. The source’s world total, where published, may be rounded, approximate, a lower bound, or a textual estimate, so shares are computed against the sum of the listed countries. Reserves and production are different measures and should not be combined without equalizing units.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are feldspar reserves?
Feldspar reserves in this dataset represent estimated quantities of feldspar and nepheline syenite that can be economically extracted under applicable conditions, in thousand metric tons.
Which countries hold the most feldspar reserves?
China (730,000 thousand metric tons) and Türkiye (720,000) reported the largest 2025 values, followed by India (320,000).
Why does Egypt show no recent value?
Egypt last reported 1,000,000 thousand metric tons in 2020 and has no value in any later edition. An empty cell means not reported, not zero.
Which country led before 2023?
Iran led the reported series at 630,000 thousand metric tons through 2022; Egypt had held 1,000,000 through 2020 before its series ended.
What is the global total?
USGS gives it only as “Large” — no numerical figure is published.
