Other Stone Fruits Consumption by Country
China recorded the highest total food supply of other stone fruits in 2023, at 151,077 tonnes, followed by Iran at 142,601 tonnes and Uzbekistan at 54,084 tonnes. On a per-person basis, Georgia ranked first at 4.59 grams per person per day, ahead of Iran at 4.31 grams. These figures measure food available for human consumption, not the amount people actually ate.
Afghanistan placed fourth at 46,943 tonnes, with France fifth at 27,403 and Algeria sixth at 22,888. Syria, Ukraine, Myanmar and Georgia completed the top ten between 6,376 and 9,454 tonnes. The top three held 67.0 percent of the annual listed food supply total, and the top five 81.4 percent. China had the highest listed food supply, while Georgia had the highest per-capita food supply. Myanmar shed 17,670 tonnes between 2022 and 2023, dropping 69.7 percent to 7,696 tonnes. Laos went from 15,554 tonnes to a reported zero. Qatar lost 2,483 tonnes, down 47.7 percent, and Greece 1,685 tonnes, down 23.6 percent. Iran added 3,267 tonnes, up 2.3 percent to 142,601 tonnes. Yemen added 1,516 tonnes from a small base, and Syria 1,159 tonnes, up 14.0 percent. Tajikistan added 827 tonnes, up 34.9 percent. The 43 countries present in both years fell from 547,683 tonnes to 518,822 tonnes, down 28,861 tonnes, or 5.3 percent, with no entries or exits. Between 2019 and 2023, the 35 countries present in both years grew from 481,219 tonnes to 506,794 tonnes, up 25,575 tonnes, or 5.3 percent. France added 16,854 tonnes, up 159.8 percent, accounting for 65.9 percent of the net gain. China added 5,741 tonnes, up 4.0 percent, and Italy 5,545 tonnes from a zero base. Georgia added 2,677 tonnes, up 72.4 percent. Bangladesh shed 3,810 tonnes, down 88.9 percent, and Greece 3,787 tonnes, down 41.0 percent. Qatar lost 2,852 tonnes, down 51.2 percent. Eight countries arrived over the period with 12,028 tonnes, and none left. Georgia's 4.59 grams a day edged Iran's 4.31, with Uzbekistan third at 4.16 and Afghanistan fourth at 3.10. Qatar recorded 2.50 grams, ahead of Greece at 1.46 and Algeria at 1.36. France, fifth by volume, sat at 1.13 grams per person. China, first by volume, did not reach the per-person top five. Stone fruits outside the named species are grouped here, measured as food available for human consumption in tonnes and in daily grams per person, for 2019 through 2023. Annual totals sum only reporting countries, so arrivals and departures shift the universe slightly. The tonnage column shows market scale; the per-person column divides that scale by population. With just 44 countries in the file, one mover can swing the whole total. Laos fell from 15,554 tonnes in 2022 to a reported zero in 2023. Yemen rose 528.4 percent from under 300 tonnes in 2022. Element 5141 in FAO Supply Utilization Accounts captures tonnage for human consumption, while element 665 captures daily grams per person; both series run 2019-2023 for other stone fruits. Percentage changes are calculated against the earlier year's value. Percentage changes are not reported when the baseline is zero. Forty-four countries form the universe once aggregates are set aside, and 43 show 2023 values. Comparisons admit only countries present at both endpoints. The 2023 listed total of 518,822 tonnes equals every country with a 2023 entry. A zero is reported, a blank is missing, and figures below 1,000 retain two decimals.

Methodology
Frequently Asked Questions
Which country led other stone fruits supply per person in 2023?
Georgia led other stone fruits supply per person in 2023 at 4.59 grams per day, ahead of Iran at 4.31 grams and Uzbekistan at 4.16 grams.
How tight was the volume duel?
Extremely tight: China held 29.1 percent of the annual listed food supply total against 27.5 percent for Iran, a ratio of only 1.06 between the top two.
How far did Myanmar fall lately?
Myanmar shed 17,670 reported tonnes, down 69.7 percent to 7,696 tonnes in 2023, the deepest latest-year loss among all 44 countries covered in that year's file.
Why can food supply differ from actual consumption?
Food supply measures the amount available for human consumption in the reference year, not the amount people actually ate. The two can differ substantially that year.
What lifted the five-year total?
France added 16,854 tonnes, up 159.8 percent, accounting for 65.9 percent of the net 25,575-tonne gain between 2019 and 2023, well ahead of every other contributor.
