The figures below reproduce FAO Crops and Livestock Products records for item Soya bean oil, 2019-2023, reporting production quantity in tonnes. The table lists 112 countries; 111 reported a 2023 quantity, and the 2023 annual listed total is 59,911,090 tonnes. The 2023 country list runs from the largest listed quantity to the smallest.

China produced 1.42 times as much as the United States: 17,356,200 tonnes against 12,227,000, while Brazil ranks third with 10,890,989 tonnes, 1,336,011 tonnes behind the United States. The top two hold 49.4 percent of the listed total, with third and fourth at 10,890,989 and 5,275,641 tonnes respectively.

Soya Bean Oil Production by Country in 2023

China was the largest soya bean oil producer in the 2023 listed data with 17,356,200 tonnes, followed by the United States with 12,227,000 tonnes and Brazil with 10,890,989 tonnes. Argentina ranked fourth with 5,275,641 tonnes.

Argentina fell 2,172,050 tonnes (down 29.2 percent), while Brazil added 2,115,487 tonnes (up 24.1 percent) and China 925,600 tonnes (up 5.6 percent).

Yearly totals sum FAO Crops and Livestock Products production quantity (Element 5510) for item Soya bean oil, 2019-2023. For soya bean oil production, quantities below 1,000 tonnes retain two decimals and larger quantities are shown as whole tonnes. The 2023 soya bean oil production ranking and shares use 2023 listed quantities. In the soya bean oil production data, zero means a reported nil or negligible flow; an empty cell means no quantity was reported. For soya bean oil production changes, only countries with quantities in both endpoint years enter the arithmetic. Production quantities are reported to FAO by national statistical sources.
