Methodology
Percentage changes use the corresponding value in the earlier year as the base. Yearly totals sum FAO Crops and Livestock Products production quantity (Element 5510) for item Yoghurt, 2019-2023. For yoghurt production, quantities below 1,000 tonnes retain two decimals and larger quantities are shown as whole tonnes. The 2023 yoghurt production ranking and shares use 2023 listed quantities. In the yoghurt production data, zero means a reported nil or negligible flow; an empty cell means no quantity was reported. For yoghurt production changes, only countries with quantities in both endpoint years enter the arithmetic. Production quantities are reported to FAO by national statistical sources.
Frequently Asked Questions
What were France's gains across both windows?
France added 42,000 tonnes (up 7.9 percent) in 2023 and 127,000 tonnes (up 28.4 percent) since 2019. France reports in all three endpoint years, so both gains sit inside their change universes while larger reporters moved less.
Where did Jordan go in 2023?
Jordan reported 197,802 tonnes in 2019 and nothing in 2023. Blank cells mean not reported rather than zero, so Jordan sits outside the 2019-2023 change universe while shaping the 2019 listed total.
Who is the new reporter since 2019?
Costa Rica reported 3,897 tonnes in 2023 and nothing in 2019. Blank cells mean not reported rather than zero, so Costa Rica sits outside the 2019-2023 change universe with a small listed weight.
