Zeolites Production by Country
Zeolites production by country measures how much natural zeolites each country produces, expressed in metric tons. Zeolites are porous aluminosilicate minerals with many industrial uses, from catalysis and water treatment to agriculture. The statistics are based on USGS Mineral Commodity Summaries 2026. The table below lists 12 countries with 2024 and 2025 data available for all of them. The United States figures are withheld to avoid disclosing company proprietary data.
Slovakia produced the most zeolites in 2025 with 280,000 metric tons. Georgia ranked second with 240,000, followed by South Korea (160,000), China (150,000), Russia (130,000), Indonesia (120,000), Türkiye (58,000), Hungary (31,000), Cuba (15,000), Philippines (6,300), Jordan (1,000), and Chile (240). Among the 12 countries with available 2025 data, Slovakia accounted for about 23 percent of the reported production values, and Slovakia and Georgia together accounted for about 44 percent. Only six countries — Slovakia, Georgia, South Korea, China, Russia, and Indonesia — produced more than 100,000 metric tons in 2025. In Europe, Slovakia (280,000 metric tons) and Georgia (240,000) are the leading producers, ahead of Russia (130,000) and Hungary (31,000). In Asia, South Korea (160,000) leads, ahead of China (150,000), Indonesia (120,000), Türkiye (58,000), the Philippines (6,300), and Jordan (1,000). Cuba (15,000) is the only listed producer in the Americas, and Chile (240) is the only listed producer in South America, while the United States figures are withheld. Zeolites production is evenly distributed at the top: the six leading producers range from 120,000 to 280,000 metric tons, a span of about 2.3 times, with no single dominant country. The top producers are spread across Europe and Asia, and the smallest listed producer, Chile, produced just 240 metric tons, about 0.02 percent of the total. South Korea recorded the largest increase, rising from 140,000 metric tons in 2024 to 160,000 in 2025 (up 20,000). Slovakia rose from 273,000 to 280,000 (up 7,000), Hungary from 30,000 to 31,000 (up 1,000), Türkiye from 57,100 to 58,000 (up 900), and Cuba from 14,900 to 15,000 (up 100). Georgia recorded the largest decline, falling from 243,000 to 240,000 (down 3,000), followed by Chile (500 to 240, down 260) and the Philippines (6,320 to 6,300, down 20). China, Indonesia, Jordan, and Russia held 150,000, 120,000, 1,000, and 130,000 metric tons, unchanged. Total reported production among the 12 listed countries rose from 1,165,820 metric tons in 2024 to 1,191,540 in 2025, an increase of 25,720 metric tons, or about 2.2 percent.
