Somalia ranked fourth with 2,693 tonnes. Saudi Arabia holds 17.9 percent of the listed 2024 total. The top three together hold 40.3 percent of the 29,495-tonne listed total. From 2023 to 2024 the common reporter universe (37 countries with data in both years) moved from 28,785 tonnes to 29,495 tonnes, a change of 710 tonnes (2.5 percent). The totals listed for each year were 28,785 tonnes (37 reporters) and 29,495 tonnes (37 reporters); no country exited and no new reporter joined. Turkmenistan rose from 741.93 tonnes to 1,087 tonnes, a change of 345.01 tonnes, while Kenya added 321.54 tonnes (up 29.9 percent) and Niger fell 236.89 tonnes (down 25.9 percent). Between 2020 and 2024, the common reporter universe (37 countries with data in both years) rose from 25,933 tonnes to 29,495 tonnes, a change of 3,562 tonnes (13.7 percent). The totals listed for each year were 25,933 tonnes (37 reporters) and 29,495 tonnes (37 reporters); no reporter present in 2020 is absent in 2024, while no new reporters joined. Egypt rose from 432.78 tonnes to 1,189 tonnes, a change of 755.78 tonnes, while China added 739.67 tonnes (up 55.9 percent) and the United Arab Emirates 438.55 tonnes (up 18.9 percent). Percentage changes use the corresponding value in the earlier year as the base. Yearly totals sum FAO Crops and Livestock Products production quantity (Element 5510) for item Fat of camels, 2020-2024. For fat of camels production, quantities below 1,000 tonnes retain two decimals and larger quantities are shown as whole tonnes. The 2024 fat of camels production ranking and shares use 2024 listed quantities. In the fat of camels production data, zero means a reported nil or negligible flow; an empty cell means no quantity was reported. For fat of camels production changes, only countries with quantities in both endpoint years enter the arithmetic. Production quantities are reported to FAO by national statistical sources.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is no rate attached to Turkmenistan and Egypt?
Turkmenistan rose from 741.93 tonnes in 2023 to 1,087 tonnes in 2024, and Egypt from 432.78 tonnes in 2020 to 1,189 tonnes in 2024. Both bases sit below 1,000 tonnes, so no percent is attached; both report in both endpoint years, so the climbs sit inside their change universes.
Why did Niger fall in 2024?
Niger fell from 915.26 tonnes in 2023 to 678.37 tonnes in 2024, a change of -236.89 tonnes (down 25.9 percent). Niger reports in both years, so the fall sits inside the change universe.
Did the reporter set change at all?
No. The same 37 countries reported in 2020, 2023 and 2024, so both change universes equal the reporter set and the listed totals move only on reported quantities.
