Frequently Asked Questions
Which country produces the most fresh or chilled camel meat?
Sudan produced 145,228 tonnes of fresh or chilled camel meat in 2024, making it the largest producer in the 37-country listed dataset. Kenya ranked second with 71,490 tonnes, followed by Saudi Arabia with 66,164 tonnes.
How did Egypt grow 174.6 percent since 2020?
Egypt rose from 11,300 tonnes in 2020 to 31,035 tonnes in 2024, a change of 19,735 tonnes (up 174.6 percent). Egypt reports in both years, so the rise sits inside the change universe.
Did the reporter set change at all?
No. The same 37 countries reported in 2020, 2023 and 2024, so both change universes equal the reporter set and the listed totals move only on reported quantities.
