About Bermuda
Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory in the North Atlantic Ocean, famous for its distinctive pink sand beaches. The unique color comes from microscopic red organisms called foraminifera, which mix with white sand and coral fragments. Horseshoe Bay Beach is one of the most celebrated examples.
The economy is primarily based on offshore finance and insurance, along with luxury tourism. It has one of the world's highest GDPs per capita. The territory has a subtropical climate, making it a year-round tourist destination.
Bermuda is also known as the “Shipwreck Capital of the Atlantic,” with over 300 documented wrecks due to its extensive coral reefs. Its culture is a blend of British and Afro-Caribbean influences, and Bermudians are British citizens. The capital city is Hamilton.
