The nation has tropical highland climate with two rainy seasons. Burundi has presidential republic with ethnic balance challenges. The country has coffee production and subsistence agriculture economy.

Gitega is political capital while Bujumbura remains economic center on Lake Tanganyika. Burundi has traditional Ingoma drummers with UNESCO recognition. The nation has Kirundi and French as official languages.

Traditional Burundian culture includes royal drum ceremonies, basket weaving, and cattle culture. The country has Christian majority with traditional beliefs integration. Burundian cuisine features beans, bananas, and simple ingredients.

The population is 12.6 million with high fertility rates and young demographics. Burundi offers recovery story, drumming heritage, and East African culture in densely populated hills.
